What The Trump Presidency Means For Seniors

close up potrait of smiling Asian senior couple on bright greenHoward Gleckman, author of the book “Caring for Our Parents” and a resident fellow at The Urban Institute, where he is affiliated with the Tax Policy Center and the Program on Retirement Policy, has written an article on what the election of Donald Trump might mean for social welfare programs that benefit senior citizens.  As is the custom with recent presidential election campaigns, neither candidate went into much detail to identify how he/she would pay for the bag of goodies promised to voters.  President-elect Trump promised a tax cut package that will some observers estimate will cost $6,000,000,000 (that’s six TRILLION dollars) and it is difficult to imagine how that could be done without at least some changes to entitlement programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.  You can read the entire article at What The Trump Presidency Means For Seniors
